Expensive beauty products are lovely to own, but they're a luxury. When beauty products under €5 do a similar job, it's hard to justify spending over that amount.
Not all budget beauty products do you cheap little favours, though. Some are simply cheap. And some are a little bit nasty. These five beauty products under €5, though, are rare gems.
They are the types of product that once you try, you would never bother buying the higher end version again.
Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl Kajal (€4.95)
A soft, smudgy pencil that delivers on pigment and doesn’t drag the eyelids. The creamy texture is also a plus, as some budget liners tend to be too hard.
So many women are ditching the traditional elastic in favour of these little gems. They are much kinder to the hair, as elastic hair ties can snag and break the hair.
However, we like these because they don't leave you with that blasted 'kink' once you let your hair down again.
Wet n Wild Brow Kit €3.99
The best value brow kit out there, rivalling much higher end products. For one, the neutral tones are hard to beat, and the addition of a brow wax is useful for taming unruly hairs.
Essence Velvet Stick in Cherry Crash €2.50
Crayon style lippies make life a lot easier and this particular one from Essence delivers on pigment. It's a semi-matte finish rather than the matte it's labelled as, but the colour. Ah, the colour. It's a true fire engine red, and it definitely looks more expensive than it is.
Catrice Deluxe Glow Highlighter The Glowrious Three €4.95
I've written about this before, but I have to mention it again. I love this nifty number because I can use it to highlight, as a contour and as eyeshadow.
And, apparently, this lazy gal makeup approach is now the biggest beauty trend of the season. What a trend setter, eh?
