Barielle Nail Cream: another horsey triumph

Thanks for the nail cream, but I need to stop taking trouser advice from horses

A lot of good stuff for nails and hair is developed for horses. They've got really dry frizzy hair and hooves that are incredibly thick and in need of strong effective moisturisation. No messing around for horses. They need rich creams that penetrate quickly and do the job properly. If it's not working it's not in the tack room.

Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream was originally developed for horses and of course Mane 'n Tail (beloved of Jennifer Aniston and SJP) is another product of theirs we've nicked.

Barielle Nail Cream is hoof cream really. Not just any hooves either - posh ones - million dollar racehorse hooves - gasp. And it works so well on nails that it soaks down through nail polish and really helps to strengthen nails. If yours are weak, brittle and prone to splitting then you should give this a go. It's cheap too - pick it up in any chemist.

Ace for repairing damaged nails - if yours are in tatters after gels or acrylics lash some of this on every night before bed and let it soak in overnight.
