The Best Cruelty-Free SPFs For Your Face

Wearing SPF every day is so important to protect your skin. Here are the best cruelty-free SPF's for your face so you can start protecting yours too.

Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen

This SPF from Supergoop! is by far the most popular and highly rated face SPF I've found.

It's broad spectrum meaning it will protect against both UVA and UVB and has an SPF of 40.

It's a lightweight, unscented sunscreen that many people have praised for not breaking their skin out which is a common problem with SPFs.

The only problem with this product is that it's not readily available in Ireland, although you can purchase it online from Revolve for €35.00.

If you have a friend or relative going to America soon, why not ask them to pick this up for you in Sephora to save on the potential shipping costs.

Image Skincare Prevention and Hydrating Moisturiser

Image skincare has a great range of moisturisers which all contain SPF 30 and are broad-spectrum.

They have the Prevention and Hydrating moisturiser shown below as well as Prevention and Matte, Prevention and Tinted Moisturiser and Prevention and Ultimate Prevention available.

This means you're guaranteed to find one that is suitable for your skin type.

It can be used on its own or with an additional moisturiser depending on your skin type, however, if you have oily skin then I wouldn't recommend using an extra moisturiser.

Ren Skincare Clean Screen Mineral

This SPF from Ren is broad-spectrum, has an SPF of 30 and is also suitable for sensitive skin.

It's a mattifying SPF which claims you won't have any oil or shine problems when using it.

As it's mattifying, if your skin tends to be on the dry side, then this SPF may not be the best for you.

A bonus point for this SPF is that the tube is made from 50% recycled plastic!

Soltan Sensitive Protect Face cream

The Soltan SPF is by far the best budget-friendly option I've found - it's my personal go-to.

It has the highest possible UVA star rating and according to the packaging 'very high' UVB protection too.

It's suitable for sensitive skin and is lightweight and non-greasy. As someone with acne-prone skin, I was sceptical about using SPF but this one hasn't caused any additional breakouts for me.
