Best Dressed of the Year: The darling dress of May

On the fifth month of 2016, the Met Gala gave to us, the best look of those 31 days

May is the month of the Met Gala, and this year's theme was"Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology." Predictably, there were tonnes of gorgeous and wonderous gowns designed to fit the theme, and there were some gorgeous and wonderous gowns that didn't even hint at it. And then there was this. She's not the best dressed of the month in our eyes; we just wanted to remind you. Oh, Madonna.

So who gets the May style crown? Karlie Kloss in Brandon Maxwell.

I love it for three reasons. 1) It simple and unfussy while being so absolutely WOW. No accessories required, a slick of red lipstick, pared back hair and a supermodel body will do. 2) It suited the theme in a white alien robot kind of way. 3) It turned into this:

Soooo...instead of changing into a #MetGala Afterparty dress, @BrandonMaxwell cut my gown into mini ✂️?

Yep, so halfway through the night designer Brandon Maxwell cut the gown so that Karlie could party at the after-event without tripping all over the place. And doesn't it look just as stunning as a mini? I also need me a white blazer in my wardrobe.
