EyeKo Black Magic is the lash product of our dreams

EyeKo Black Magic Last Boost would want to be the product of our dreams, it costs enough

Want bigger, longer, bolder lashes? We get asked that a lot by advertising and the answer is of course, yes, but it can be hard to know whether whatever they’re selling will actually do the job. I’ve been testing out EyeKo Black Magic, a product that promises to do all that, and then some.

eyeko lash boost

Eyeko Black Magic Lash Boost is a fibre extension product. It's designed to work with and boost the performance of regular mascara to add length and volume to lashes. Made with 100% plant fibres, unlike the more traditional varieties, it's black so it blends much easier with the mascara for a seamless finish.

To get the best effect, Eyeko recommend that you take a three step approach: mascara, lash boost, mascara. Repeat as you wish until you get the desired effect. I did one round of that and you can see that the results are pretty good; volume and length are boosted considerably from the first coat of mascara to the second.

Black Magic comes with a fairly hefty price tag of €33, so I was expecting it to deliver. Luckily, it does. In terms of value for money, you get a lot in that little tube so it would last for absolutely ages. Unfortunately, if you’re a contact lens wearer it’s probably best to steer clear.

All in the all, the plus points are that it definitely works and will last for a long time. The problems are are the price and that it is a little messy. That said, as the fibres are black rather than the traditional white, I'm sure with practice it'd be a doodle to get right.

Are you liking the sound of this? Would you give it a go?
