Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coats: We Like Her Textured Range Very Much

If there's one word in the English language I love more than the word 'sale', it's the word 'free'. And Sally Hansen are giving away their Fuzzy Coat polish free with the purchase of a nail colour til the end of August. That's a pretty good deal in my book!

These are a bit different; they’re less of a glitter and more of a ‘feather effect’ varnish. Paired with the Sally Hansen nail colour they have serious staying power. I like Her polishes and Her nail treatments and I just generally trust that Ms. Hanson would never lead me astray.

Because the particles are rectangular rather than square or round they're less abrasive, even when I've built up a few coats. Also I'm used to a metallic, shiny glitter polish, which can be a bit Christmassy. But these babies are matte, and I'm mad for matte.

I decided to do a ‘jelly sandwich’ on it, and went with a thin coat of Fuzz-Sea, followed by a coat of the lovely minty green Jaded. Then it was just a case of repeating that process until The Good Wife was over.

Now I am a rank amateur when it comes to nails, and I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise publicly for the state of my cuticles, but I liked my results.  You could easily use these bad boys solo on nude nails, or just pop one coat over a polish. The Fuzzy coats are dead easy to use and they come in a vast array of colours, and did I mention they’re free? Because they’re free!

So what do you make of the textured nail trend? And will you be snapping up a Fuzzy Coat?
