Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum: Thumbs Up

Vichy Aqualia thermal serum

Now that the cold snap has arrived in earnest - some days, it feels like I'll never be warm again! - I've seriously upped the ante where skincare is concerned. I told you all recently about the nighttime addition to my routine, Voya My Little Hero, and I've also brought on another player to help out during the day.

Like all other products in the Vichy Aqualia Thermal line, the Fortifying and Soothing 24 Hour Hydrating Concentrate (er, let's just call it "the serum" from here on) is €22, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and now paraben-free, and promises to deliver comfort and long-lasting moisture to even the most sensitive dehydrated skin.

It's intended to be layered under your usual moisturiser for a hydration boost, and unlike some others I've tried Vichy Aqualia Thermal serum is a fluid that's very light in texture, rapidly absorbed, and doesn't seem to have any adverse effect on make-up application. It's had a positive impact on my skin, though: the usual pesky dry bits that tend to put it an appearance around my nose and chin during the winter months have fecked right off.
