Xmas Beauty Tutorial: Jane Iredale Glamour Kit

I recently reviewed Jane Iredale's Glamour Kits in the hope that it might be an alternative to the beuaitful but pricey Charlotte Tilbury's Glamour Muse. You can check out my review here.

And I also put this to the trial test so I whipped up a little tutorial for you.

I've done it in six easy steps but if you've any questions after, please comment in the box below and I'll do my best to answer all of them.

I hope you enjoy!

  • Step 1:

Prepping your eye is possibly the most important part of eye make up. Apply your brow product and conceal both above and below the brow.

  • Step 2:

Using the lighter colour eye shadow, apply it under the brow bone with a flat brush. Use a fair amount of product for this as you want to have a strong base to blend on to. Also, apply some in the inner corner/ tear duct of the eye.

  • Step 3:

Apply your own matte neutral eye shadow, or a bronzer will do once its not shimmery, in the crease. As the kit only contains two shimmery eye shadows, you will need an additional matte shadow to break it up. Apply with your fluffy brush and blend up towards the brow in small circles clock wise and anti clockwise. This part should look seamless. If it doesn't, keep blending.

  • Step 4:

Next, take your black liner on a brush. Your brush choice is very important here and a lot of the struggle of a liquid liner comes from not using the brush correctly or choosing the right brush (if you'd like a tutorial on that, let me know below).

Make sure the brush is flat on both sides, and ensure you close the product lid tightly after use as it is air drying and when it starts to dry out it gets hard to work with.

Line the upper lash line, as close to the lashes as possible, and build from there. Start in the middle, and work your way in towards the inner corner and outer corner. Wing out from the lower lash line separately.

  • Step 5:

Bring your wing back in (like a small triangle) towards the lash line. Colour in the tiny triangle. This will ensure you get the perfect flick.

  • Step 6:

Finally, when you are wearing a red lip, it's so important to line the lips. Again, this kit doesn't have a liner, so your going to have to get one. When that's done, apply the red lipstick followed by the gloss.
