Who? What? Wear? Pippa O'Connor wearing THE label of 2018

Pippa O'Connor was on a much deserved evening out out wearing a dress from a (fairly) affordable brand that is everywhere right now

I called it last year. I knew Rixo London was the label that anyone who's anyone would be wearing to prove they're someone. Pippa O'Connor caught on early-ish, too; we spied her in at the races in Leopardstown 'round Christmas wearing a signature Rixo London skirt.

The brand's popularity is down to its aesthetic. It's all semi-quirky and flowy but grown-up dresses and skirts and blouses that stylish working thirty-somethings are loving right now. Hints to the '90s, a tinge of boho-chic, the dress up or down-ability of it all - if we had a Brown Thomas budget we'd be all over it, too.

Pippa styled it simply, with a short leather jacket (is it time?!) and sock boots. The styling is standard - but it works.

You can buy her exact dress from Brown Thomas but be warned; Rixo London is 2018's Self Portrait. (Remember the Azalea dress?) It's an affordable designer brand that's gaining in popularity which means there will be copies galore all over the high street very soon. You can already see the influence creeping in - a good thing, because the pieces are so flattering and so wearable and so now. But... you know what I mean.

Marks and Spencer released a constellation dress that gained a cult following last year. It was so popular, they relaunched it later in the year and, of course, it was a sell-out. If you got one, you were lucky. They were €60 and very like the Rixo number.
If you didn't, don't fret. As I said, there will be plenty of Rixo inspired pieces at budget-friendly pieces on the way soon. Once we catch them, we'll let you know.
