Summer dresses to throw on and go (and still look put together)

The best summer dresses are the ones that you don't have to think about

I'm going on a trip to London this weekend, and the packing stress level is at ninety. Packing for a cabin bag only trip is hard enough but throw warm weather into the mix, and it's ten times worse. Worse for me, anyway, because my wardrobe is 90% Irish weather friendly; it's all jumpers, jeans and black. Summer dresses are the answer to this particular dilemma.

However, I'm not talking about those pretty, floaty summer dresses that you (I) need to be all 'prepped and primed' for. The best summer dresses are the ones that you don't have to think about. Ones you can just slip on over your head and know that they'll go with runners or heels. Ones that cover possibly sunburned arms chest and possibly unshaved pits. They'll at least be the type of dress that you can cover that patch of un-Cocoa Browned back with.

You'll have to make sure your legs are in good condition, though, because it's summer and they have to be on display, for aeration's sake. If you care about having beautiful, glowing, strokable legs, see our guide to getting pins like Giselle, here.
