It's still very much sale time, but a trickle of the new and transition season is starting to appear. If you still haven't nabbed a bargain yet, then I've got just the thing for you if you are planning a trip to the shops this weekend.
During the week, River Island's sale started (always a good one, especially for shoes) as well as the other big ones continuing with even more reductions. I've been on the look-out for separates to wear at the weekend: comfortable and easy to store and wash that look chic when I am out and about. So to tempt you, I've picked out my top three in the shops right now!
- The Dress
I like investing in dresses that I think I can wear for a few seasons. And this one from River Island is a great buy. It's a lightweight denim with a tie to add some shape; it's perfect for summer hols and just hanging out at the weekend. Wear with some Converse runners for comfort, or try with a low heel sandal. Best part? It's in the sale reduced from €54 to just €23.
- The Jacket
Jackets need to be a bit lazy at the weekends. My favourite outfit that never fails me are jeans, a t-shirt and some form of blazer or jacket. This summer I have been loving long line jackets that are made from light fabrics. They catch the breeze and become floaty and lovely.
Oasis have the best collection this year; from floral prints to block colours there is a cover-up for every occasion. I have my eye on this navy and white print jacket which is in store (in the sale too for just €25, YAY!)
- The Tops
Ah the best basic! As it's summer we have been spoilt rotten for colours; pink, purple, mint green, lemon and coral were all winners for 2015 so if you have those in your wardrobe, well, you're a trendsetter!
Even when you are heading away, more tops than bottoms is the trick.
You can chop and change your top half to match the same skirt or trousers, so make sure you buy colours you know you will wear. I've picked out some of my favourites from sale and new season for your viewing pleasure.
Have you a favourite weekend outfit? What do you like to wear other than your jammies on a Saturday afternoon?
