How to be a 'hot mess' and still look good

I spied this picture of Myleene Klass a couple of weeks ago and honestly, her outfit is so cray. But I love it.

Myleene Klass was going about her business on October 24th in an outfit I don't know where she got the inspiration for. None of it is trendy. From the pink 'hot mess' t-shirt to the camo pants, even those nude pumps, there's not an ounce of 'now' about it. Maybe that's why I think it's so great. It's not like she didn't make an effort. Despite the slouchy cardigan and the general randomness of it, this is a put-together outfit.

There are little signs to show that this outfit was indeed laid out the night before.

Her camouflage pants - perhaps rediscovered from her Hear'Say days? - are 'fashioned' with a simple roll up. The pinks in the t-shirt compliment her baggy grey cardi. The sunglasses match and those high shoes are most certainly deliberate.

We could probably cobble a look like this out of stuff we found when we were clearing out the attic, too (if only there was a Chanel bag waiting to be discovered).

If you want to recreate the look by spending some of November's paycheck, we have the ingredients.

So they're not the exact same and they don't entirely match, but the whole idea is that it's sorta thrown together. The key, as Myleene demonstrates, is in confidence. She wore the outfit on purpose because she wanted to wear it. She's not trying to be stylish, but she is showing she has style, her own personal, unique style. That we might steal.

What do you think? Is this look something you could see yourself wearing? Or is Myleene the only on (in 2018) who can pull it off?
