Why We Love Soru Jewellery

While being kept awake by Twitter as per usual the other night, my eyes were drawn to the most unique  looking jewellery that I have seen in a long time.  The brand responsible for keeping me awake past bedtime is called Soru and, having lived there for a few years, I was also intrigued by the Sicilian connection.

I’m an absolute fiend for big chunky rings (you'll find some of our favourites here), and while the cheap and cheerful designs from Forever 21 or Penneys are fantastic for a quick fix, sometimes I just want to indulge myself with a keeper, a special piece of jewellery that I invest a little more in, because I intend to hang on to it forever.

Sisters Francesca and Marianna are British-Sicilian and are based in the UK, but you can almost feel the Italian style and rugged Sicilian beauty radiating from their unique pieces. The collection is made from semi-precious and natural precious gemstones and each piece is handcrafted and so will be unique to the wearer.  And they even have a guide to the meaning of each stone on their website.

DSC02914Soru jewellery is a relatively new having only been founded in Oct 2013 but they’re already attracting a lot of media interest within the fashion pack.  They’re also just about to arrive on our shores, into the fabulous Loulerie Boutique in Dublin (www.loulerie.com) and they also have a small selection in Kimono Boutique in Limerick (www.kimono.ie).

I know that I will be treating myself to an early Christmas present, and if you were feeling particularly generous then they’d make a beautiful gift for your mum or sisters.  You could even print off this page and casually leave it out for himself to find with a few subtle hints, and by subtle I mean tell him that’s what you’d like and put a big red circle around your favourite item!  The discount code is valid now until the 30th November 2014.
