The real wedding that made Vogue will give you bridesmaid goals

The real wedding that made Vogue will give you bridesmaid goals

Admit it - you love browsing through the photo gallery of a good 'real wedding'. You must - that's why every national paper splash 'em on their Facebook pages and print them so we can look at them like in the good old days.

I am not the type of gal that had her wedding planned before she even had a boyfriend. Hell, I have been engaged for almost a year, and I still haven't planned my own. But, even before I contemplated marriage I would spend a healthy five hours or so per day glued to One Fab Day. Because weddings are brilliant. They're the culmination of months of planning. You get a real insight into your friend's/family member's/perfect stranger's personality and taste. Forget eyes; weddings are the window to your soul.

Annabelle Caufman Soudavar and Maximilian Moehlmann's wedding was an East Hampton's affair, which gives you an indication of what it was like. The fact that Vogue covered it is another.  Summer up in three words, it was classy, beautiful and rich. The bride wore Carolina Herrera for her ceremony dress and Dolce & Gabbana for dinner and dancing because East Hampton weddings demand a costume change. Both were stunning, but it was her idea for her bridesmaids that struck a chord.

Speaking to Vogue, she said, "I asked that my bridesmaids each select their own dresses with the direction that they should be pale, romantic and floral. I wanted everyone's individual style to come through, and for my friends to feel beautiful and like themselves."

She had 15 bridesmaids, who each needed a pair of shoes (but judging from this pic it seems not all of them wanted to wear espadrilles).

We are digging the mismatched theme and think that it's a gorgeous idea. We'd do the same if we had a two-designer wedding dress type budget.
