3 high street foundations you'll think are high end

We’ve said it time and time again, but budget makeup buys are getting better and better with every year that passes. It used to be that makeup lovers would only really pick up products like mascara and lipstick from the more affordable high street brands and then save up for pricier primers and concealer. That’s not the case anymore.

Take the cult favourite Lasting Perfection concealer from Collection, for example. It’s only €4.99 (on offer in Boots at the moment) but it outperforms many more expensive offerings on the market. Similarly, Wet n Wild’s Eye Brow Kit (€3.99) is one I recommend often because it’s brilliant, rather than because it’s cheap. Today we’re looking at foundations. Specifically, three that we think might as well be high end, rather than high street.

So whether you’re waiting for pay day or simply looking for a bargain, we’ve got you covered.

Rimmel Fresher Skin Foundation €9.95

Another new launch this season and one we love here at Beaut.ie (well, except Miriam who prefers this budget foundation). Rimmel’s Fresher Skin foundation really does feel fresh to wear, lasts well throughout the day and doesn’t go cakey or patchy.

There are six shades in the series, but if you’d like to know more, check out our full review here.

Bourjois Healthy Mix high Street

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation €16.29

For me, this has always been a winner in terms of high street makeup buys. I love the natural coverage it gives and that the shades are more on the yellow toned end of the spectrum, something that can be quite difficult to find, (unless you go for more luxury picks). The gel texture is lightweight, easy to blend and really does make skin look healthy and glowing.
