Never one to shy away from body modification - you may recall those weird prosthetic lumps'n'bumps she sported during the Born This Way promo - Gaga has just added a piercing to her impressive collection of tattoos. She might also have added a nose job, but she denies it.
A video created by her "haus" (hangers-on to you and me) shows Gaga calmly getting her septum pierced, without as much as a flinch. You mightn't want to watch that if you're squeamish, by the way.
I think the piercing looks totally cute on her, especially with her dark hair and bleached eyebrows - very Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I'm all over nose piercings - delicate gold or silver hoops set close to the nostril can look really pretty. I toyed with the idea of getting one myself, until my friends hysterically laughed and told me I was too "cute-looking" for a nose piercing. Hey, I'm 5"2. I could look "cute" in full military gear. It's what small people have to deal with. But their reaction put me off and now it's too late, as I'm working an office job where it mightn't be appropriate.

Do I regret not getting a mad piercing when it would have been acceptable? Perhaps. At 16 I threatened my mother constantly with the possibility of getting my lip pierced, but now I'm glad I didn't poke holes anywhere near my lips. Maybe if I ever decide to commit a final act of youthful rebellion I'll get a tiny nose ring. I'm definitely ruling out cheek piercings a la Amanda Bynes though.
