Eucerin has solved the dilemma of SPF and tackling shine

Eucerin has just launched its new sun care range, and there's something quite special in it we're dying to tell you about.

Eucerin is well known for creating quality skin care products. So, it should come as no surprise that their latest sun care collection is top notch. But there's one product, in particular, that has us tickled pink. You see, it not only delivers broad spectrum SPF 50 but also tackles shine for the day too.

In the past, SPF products had a reputation for being a bit sticky, and for want of a better word, goopy. Unfortunately, that doesn't work well for skin that's prone shine, congestion, or both. Slowly but surely though, we're seeing a rise in new formulas (including these from Bioderma) which offer an alternative. Similarly, foundations now often come equipped with decent SPF added (we love the Lancome Teint Idole Cushion Base).

However, in terms of moisturisers, it can be difficult to find a daily lotion that you don't have to compromise a little with when it comes to shine. Until now, that is. The Oil Control Sun Gel-Cream is available in SPF 50 and 30 and feels entirely weightless on skin. It also properly keeps shine under control. When worn underneath foundation it sits comfortably and behaves itself. And by that, I mean it doesn't settle in pores of separate your foundation throughout the course of a day. Overall, when you have it on, it's more like wearing a good quality primer. And that's seriously impressed us.

Along with the new Oil Control Gel Cream, you'll also find the Extra Light Sensitive Protect Lotion for body (€21). Available in SPF 30 and 50, it's designed for especially sensitive skin and provides high UV protection (both UVA and UVB). Cleverly though, it also features 'Anti-Stain After Wash' technology which means it won't leave big white streaks all over your clothes. And if you're someone who wears a lot of black, (like me), that's a big plus.

Are you a fan of the Eucerin range? Would you be tempted to try either of these?
