One thing to note this year, and even from last year, is that your runners are no longer limited to the gym. Oh no. Thanks to the "Squad" aka Kendall, Gigi and Bella, the trainer/sneaker/runner is now officially allowed in day time style.
Their trainer of choice is the Adidas Superstar which is incredibly comfortable and cool which will set you back €80. My own personal favourites are Nike's Air Force One which I have been living in since I got them a few weeks ago.
So the Squad havebecome my style inspo; I am totally led by a pack of supermodels nearly half my age and I'm ok with that. But if the sports-brand shoe isn't your thing, our favourite shops are doing some pretty cool ones to wear with your dungarees and ripped jeans this summer.
If you want to tread carefully (pun intended), then Zara have a selection of really comfortable runners that will look great with some ankle grazer trousers. You can also try these with wide leg trousers which are a big trend for 2016. The slightly raised platform will give some height, but balances out the look should you choose to wear a shorter length of trouser leg or with a skirt.
The love I have for hi-tops extends far beyond my current pair of Nikes and the old reliable Converse. River Island have designed some limited edition ones which are available on their website that have more to them than just a rubber based sole. The floral detail is different and dresses them up to wear with some black skinny jeans.
Speaking of dressy wear, Topshop have plenty to choose from that will work with this season's tailoring. Take these pretty woven shoes with tapered trousers and blazer to embrace the whole androgynous look which I am obsessed with for this year.
And you can embrace some print if you so choose, from animal print to the florals I talked about earlier. The animal print makes the shoes look more dressed up, and you can wear these with a summer dress for even wear. You have my permission.
