I have over-plucked my eyebrows - what do I do?

Beauty editor and brow expert Aisling is here to help you if you're one of the many who over-plucked their eyebrows.

This is for all the children of the '80s and early '90s when Kate Moss and her super thin eyebrows were a thing of envy. Unfortunately, this was not a look most faces could pull off and the damage to the hair follicles of the '80s and '90s children was long done.

So what (if anything) can be done to help those in this situation?

Here are a few of my top tips to give your brows the best possible chance going.

Condition with serum

There are loads of serums out there but choose something hydrating and nourishing. Castor oil, rosemary oil or cedarwood promote hair growth so look for these ingredients in what you buy. Consistency is key to your hair growth, there is no point in buying an expensive serum and using it sporadically.

Keep it beside your toothbrush as you do that twice a day. Hold a hot facecloth over your brows before application, if possible. This will open your pores and aid the serum to get deeper into the follicle.

Do not remove any hair

Hide your tweezers! I know it's so tempting to pluck hairs you think aren't important or are annoying you, but if you haven't actually spent time measuring out your face to get your brow measurements, it's very hard to see by eye which hairs are important and which aren't.

The growing-out part is the hardest so you just have to be patient. In the meantime, tinting and shaping can make them look fuller. But remember your hair grows in cycles so it can take up to six weeks to actually notice a difference.

Have you used anything that has helped you with eyebrow hair growth?
