River Island penultimate design forum collaboration is to be with Ashish Gupta, creator of ASHISH
Following on in the footsteps of Sibling, Eudon Choi and Zoe Jordan, Ashish Gupta will participate in the design forum collaboration. However, unlike the previous collaborations that focused on "Womenswear" or 'Menswear" the designs by Ashish will be directed at anyone and everyone - and it sounds amazing.
The 15-piece collection will consist of loungewear, outerwear and dresses. Ashish describes the collection as ‘something lazy and a bit dreamy...something relaxed enough to slouch around the house in, yet stylish enough to be taken out.’ Think oversized sleeping bag puffa jackets, embroidered pyjamas and sparkly slip dresses. Sounds more The Dream than dreamy, to us!

The designer completed a masters at Central Saint Martins after moving to London from India and first showed at London Fashion Week in 2005, going on to become a three-time New Generation award winner. His aesthetic is 'sportswear-meets-sequins', influenced by eastern and western cultures and glamour.
The Ashish x River Island Design Forum collection will launch during London Fashion Week in September 2017 and will go on sale that month. Prices range €40 - €240. Watch this space!
